“Seeds of Peace and Love” –A mini retreat on the teachings of Thomas Merton & Thich Nhat Hanh facilitated by Thomas Stella and Jerry Braza, Saturday, Feb. 11: 9:00-4:30.
From Recent Newsletter # 6: During the past six months loss has been both a companion and a teacher. The premature and tragic deaths of a close friend and then a family member, the loss of a mentor and former colleague, and the witnessing of the struggles of friends journeying through cancer, have offered me a heightened awareness of the impermanence of life. I want to hold my loved ones closer to my heart. I want to be less distracted by the life’s minutia that can so easily rob me of time best spent in love and gratitude. It seems that loss and change can be huge bells of mindfulness offering us a reminder of the preciousness of each moment.
I have been making a tour of local campuses and this week and signing books. I will be sharing a reading from my book at the Duck Store on Thursday, Nov. 10th at 7:00 p.m. I hope you can join me.

These words by Thich Nhat Hanh are from the Foreword of The Seeds of Love – Which is coming to Singapore and other Asian markets soon.
I want to share with you my upcoming all day seminar focusing on my soon-to-be published new book, The Seeds of Love: Growing Mindful Relationships. I would be honored to have you join me on June 3rd at which time I will be sharing insights and healing strategies from the book. It will offer you an opportunity to stop and reflect on the seeds or qualities that you are nurturing in your life and in those you love.
The workshop is being offered by the Lifelong Learning Institute at Chemeketa Community College at the beautiful, picturesque Northwest Viticulture Center in West Salem.
